About NBA
The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) is a statutory autonomous body under the Ministry of Environment, Forests and climate change, Government of India established in 2003 to implement the provisions under the Biological Diversity Act, 2002, after India signed Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in 1992.
About the internship
“Bio diversity Samrakshan Internship program” launched by MoEF&CC is a unique initiative to promote youth participation in conservation.
Eligibility
- Masters in any stream
- keen interest in natural resource management
- Must be between 21-30 years of age as on 10th October 2022
Roles and responsibilities
- Implemetation of Biological diversity act 2002
- Operation and functioning of Bio diversity management committee in the states and union territories.
- Coordination between Government of India, -NBA-UNDP India biodiversity award
