Important Guidelines
- District-wise Ranked Lists: Separate ranked lists will be prepared for each district. Once published, these lists will remain valid for one year from the date of finalization.
- Revenue District Basis: Selection will be conducted on a revenue district basis. Candidates appointed in one district are required to complete five years of continuous service before being eligible for transfer to another district.
- Preference for Ex-Servicemen: Priority will be given to candidates who have served in the armed forces.
- NCC Certificate Weightage: Candidates holding NCC certificates will receive additional marks as follows:
- ‘A’ Category: 2%
- ‘B’ Category: 3%
- ‘C’ Category: 5%
- Training Requirement: Selected candidates will undergo basic training for at least six months, with a minimum of 180 working days. During this period, a stipend will be provided as determined by the government. Promotion eligibility is contingent upon successful completion of this training.
Method of Appointment
The method of appointment is Direct Recruitment on a district-wise basis. According to the rules, 97% of the cadre strength will be filled through direct recruitment.
Age Limit
- Eligible candidates must be between 19 and 31 years of age, i.e., born between 02.01.1993 and 01.01.2005 (both dates inclusive).
- Candidates belonging to Other Backward Communities (OBC) and Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories are eligible for age relaxation as per government norms.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must have passed the Plus Two Examination or its equivalent.
Note:

Physical Qualifications
- Height: Minimum of 165 cm
- Chest: Minimum of 81 cm with a 5 cm expansion
- For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes, the minimum height is 160 cm and the chest measurement is 76 cm with a 5 cm expansion.
Physical Fitness and Vision Standards
- Candidates must be certified by a medical officer of the rank of Assistant Surgeon/Junior Consultant or higher, stating their fitness for active outdoor work.
- Vision Requirements:
- Right Eye: 6/6 Snellen
- Left Eye: 6/6 Snellen
- Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen for both eyes
- Candidates should have full field of vision without spectacles. Disqualifications include color blindness, squint, or any morbid conditions of the eyes or eyelids.
